CHAPTER 3--- Cloudy and Sunny Skies

Everyone is awake in the Smith family, Paul was packing their loads into a big travelling bag. Jenny also assisted them in pressing their clothes on the night before, while Gloria is in the kitchen cooking.
The Family settled on the table for the last time in some weeks, because Paul and Gloria would stay there to oversee some issues.
On the dining table, the Family were gisting as they eat.
"I am going to miss you my daughter, Said Gloria,"
"I am going to miss you too mom, Jenny said,".
"We will make sure we call you always, don't worry dear," Said Paul.

"We have bought everything you will need for the next two weeks,"
"We may not even stay up to two weeks".

Jenny packed the dishes and take them to the Kitchen. Gloria asked Jenny to escort them to the bus stop before she start going to work.

She embraced her mom and Dad, and said, "I'll miss you both".
"We will miss you too", said both Paul and Gloria.
"We will give you a call when we arrive there and make sure we call you everyday.
Bye... Said Gloria, as she enters the bus after Paul.
Jenny walked home, get dressed and head to work.

"Jim,""Jim", stand up it is light.
Jim pretended he didn't hear and slept back, his mother called again, this time around, he remember the plan he has for the day, so he get up from the bed.

He want to his normal morning routine and did everything perfectly.
By 12noon, he decided to leave home and he headed for the supermarket.

Jim started talking to himself, "I will not let this pass me by, many ones I have given up on, many ones I have never pour my feelings out to, many times I have been defeated by my shyness... Today, I am not giving room for any excuse" Jim said, as he was bouncing on the road to the supermarket.

Jim arrived at the supermarket and he saw her, he saw Jenny, he saw the girl who had captured his heart, he looked at her cute eyes and his flat skipped a beat,
Fortunately, Jenny's Boss was not around today, so, he walked up to her like an Alpha male, with gentle strides and calmness of mind.
"Hello Jenny, it's been a while, how have you been doing?"
Jenny answered, "I am doing well".
"Are you less busy after work? asked Jim.
"Yes, I am free for today"
"How about if I invite for a dinner in a nearby restaurant?"
Jenny feeling surprised but being polite, she answered, "I'll see to that".
"Alright, If you are going to come, I will be there waiting for you by 7:00pm.
Jenny nodded in affirmation, then Jim walked away.

Jenny looked at the time, it was 6:00pm in the evening and she had never gotten a call from her parents and she was told their journey won't last more than 5hours and they have left since morning. She dialed the both of them number and it was switched off.
"What could be happening?,
"Why has dad and mum not call me?"
"Are they safe?"
"Where are they?
This questions ran through her mind, as she sat on a chair in her room. She tried their numbers again, but it didn't go through.
Then she called Paul's Elder brother who was already there to ask from him about Mom and Dad welfare and She was told they have not arrived.
Her mind became restless, no one to tell her to be calm.
She laid her back on the bed and she closed her eyes, imagining what could have happened to Paul and Gloria.

Jim felt disappointed after waiting for Jenny and she didn't show up, he left the restaurant by 8:00pm after waiting for her.
"Was I not charming enough?," different questions started running through Jim's mind until he slept off.
